AIM

To provide an introduction to the role of supply chain management in the organisation

RATIONALE

Organisations in the private and public sectors are increasingly turning to professional supply chain measures and procedures to reduce costs and utilise internal resources efficiently. In this environment, it is important that purchasing and supply professionals are aware of the measures designed to promote purchasing and supply as a critical function in both the organisation, and to satisfy the end customer.
